Life by the Sideline

As I sit on the sideline,

I see the life passing by

And I remember a morning fine

When besides me you lie.

———

Across your cheek that lock of hair,

The radiating sunlight on your face.

Your peaceful sleeping smile so rare,

Your beautiful yawn in its slow pace.

———

You woke up to me smiling

And encountered my wide stupid grin

And then you wished me morning

With so much love never seen.

———

Every morning you were so beautiful

And I were left gazing awestruck.

With you I left behind my life dull and doleful

And came following you love struck.

———

As I see you leaving the bedside

I hold your hand to stop you

And you smile softly to guide

And then my love, I love you.

———

Passionate, raw, adoring, worshiping love,

Our love of unison of our souls

And in that moment I see my love,

That I’m one with you in our souls.

———

But somehow, somewhere my love

We got separated by hands of cruel fate.

And for us I pray above

To see you calling me from heaven’s gate.

———

You are missing from me, my love.

And our beautiful sweet memories

I cherish and hold in my heart, my love.

And pray for you call me with angels and fairies.

———

I treasure all our words together my love,

I wish to come home to you my love,

And to you I’ll come one day my love,

But till the day I come to you my love

———

I sit on the sideline,

And see the life passing by

And I remember a morning fine

When besides me you lie.
